CO₂ Laser Resurfacing

CO2 laser resurfacing is a fractional rejuvenation and scar treatment method in which a carbon dioxide laser beam creates a grid of microscopic evaporation and heating zones in the skin. The superficial skin layers are exposed to controlled laser energy, triggering intensive renewal of the epidermis and remodelling of collagen fibres in the dermis. As a result, the skin becomes smoother and firmer, texture is more even, and the appearance of wrinkles, post-acne marks, scars and stretch marks (striae) on the body is reduced. The procedure is used for the face, neck, décolleté area and various body zones where comprehensive skin quality improvement is needed

The treatment is performed with a modern fractional CO2 laser equipped with a scanning system that splits the main beam into multiple microbeams and creates a matrix of microscopic ablation and coagulation zones on the skin. The device allows precise adjustment of pulse energy, spot size and density, as well as treatment depth — from more superficial to more intensive settings, depending on the area and severity of the concern. This level of control makes it possible to target wrinkles, scars, post-acne changes and other defects, achieving a pronounced resurfacing and rejuvenating effect with predictable depth of action and a controlled recovery period

Recovery

The active recovery phase (redness, swelling, crusting, peeling) usually lasts about 7–14 days
Pinkish tone and increased skin sensitivity can persist for up to 6 weeks
During the healing period, avoid sauna, steam room, swimming pool and high-intensity workouts
No tanning; strict use of high-SPF sunscreen is required
Avoid aggressive skincare and do not pick or peel off crusts
Use soothing and reparative products recommended by your practitioner
